Original Birthday Cards

(Pardon the odd lighting, and click images to enlarge!) Birthday card for a brother-in-law who flies around a Lot for work.

Card for my dear sister-in-law Paddy, who is feminine, preppy, very artistic, and a ridiculously Awesome mom (4 kids) and step-mom (2 kids)

Card for my wonderful sister-in-law Debbie, who always has our August Birthdays at her home on the lake. Debbie is hard-working and dedicated to her family. I should mention that I am blessed with super-cool in-laws, and that our frequent family celebrations are bolstering my courage on making cards for my 'side of the family'.

This card was for my talented niece Rachel - a gymnast And artist. Like the rest, the materials are iridescent watercolors, drawing ink, water-soluble crayons, graphite, findings, and drawings - glued down to cold-pressed watercolor paper.

This card is for my niece's sister Brittany, same materials, and a sister card as well, I cut the sunflower watercolor sketch in half because it simply wasn't good enough as a stand-alone item -just works better as a fragment.  The other sketches from the session turned into fragments on my mother and father in-law's anniversary card.

So, I might not be 'on' the program I started to inspire myself, but I've clearly been able to commit to some pretty work. I also, clearly, need to sketch a Lot more sunflowers!!
